Michigan fans praise Ohio State football players for wearing Jesus shirts to fall camp

While moving into a hotel for fall camp, more than 20 Ohio State football players wore Jesus shirts.

Some of the shirts read “Follow Jesus,” “Jesus Won,” “Jesus Saves,” “God Got Me,” and “Just Here To Give God Glory.”

One person wrote, “Man I’m loving the way my favorite team is reppin’ the King of Kings.” Another wrote, “Love the shirts! Jesus is Lord!”

The players’ drip [slang for what a person is wearing] was appreciated by rival Michigan fans as well. A Michigan fan said, “I am gaining a lot of respect for this program after reading this post.” Another commented, “It’s hard to root against these guys when they’re wearing Jesus Won shirts.”

Gee Scott Jr., Ohio State tight end, preached at One Church in Gahanna, Ohio in July, and even baptized seven of his teammates-something the Holy Spirit had prepared him for in January.

As Scott explained to the congregation: “I saw guys on my team lining up to get baptized. So I invited them to church, but I became discouraged when they didn’t respond in the manner I had hoped.”.

“God doesn’t move on our time,” Scott said. “God moves on his time. Today you get to see that dream come true.”

Taking to Instagram, Scott shared Matthew 28:19, and said, “Amazing does not do justice to describe the powerful outpouring of the Lord’s [sic] spirit on all the Sons and Daughters who joined us this weekend.”

In addition, he said he was encouraged by the faith of the brothers in Christ who decided publicly to confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior-and to be baptized. “The Lord Jesus is moving on the hearts of those who call on Him wholeheartedly.”

The post concluded with a reference to Jeremiah 28:13.

He shared photos of him baptizing Carnell Tate, Dianté Griffin, Jermaine Matthews Jr., Brenten Jones, Lincoln Kienholz, Kojo Antwi, and TC Caffey.

He said in his message, “I just want to make this known to everyone in Columbus [that] something is going on with this football team. Christ is working on this football team.”
